Who and what:
Offer your grade 2/3 students the opportunity to use the French skills they are learning at school to play and explore francophone countries across the globe by applying to the donation.
How:
Receive a Cultural and Linguistic Activity Pack Hosted by a Francophone Mentor including:
An after school one-on-one session
An in-class group session
A turnkey organization process
The donation respects schools and district policies around privacy.
When:
Applications will be accepted until the donation quota is reached.
Activity time frame is discussed to align with the teacher's preferences.
Where:
Activities are hosted on Zoom.

For the school: Free Access to Premium FSL Expertise for Youth in English-Canada
The school will access fully funded mentorship and pedagogical materials, gaining high-value cultural and linguistic support at zero cost to your school budget.
For the teachers: 100% Turnkey Facilitation from Start to Finish
Teachers will benefits from a seamless, fully managed donation where all logistics, preparation, and live facilitation are completely taken care of, requiring no extra workload or administrative burden.
For the students: Innovative Language, Cultural Engagement, and Global Awareness
The students will engage with interactive, authentic pedagogical content and mentorship that diversify how they connect with the French language and culture, successfully boosting oral confidence and driving French beyond the classroom.
For the parents: Pride in their child's French conversational skills
The parents, by registering their child for the individual session, will have the opportunity to hear them use the French skills learned at school to converse with a Francophone mentor during a 20-minute session of play and real-world cultural exploration.
Structure:
Duration: 20 minutes
Format: After school on Zoom
Timing: Parents can register their child within one month before the in-class group session
Activities:
Choose: A French-speaking country of interest to explore
Explore: The chosen country by playing an interactive game
Create: A digital post about specific cultural element that sparked their interest

Structure:
Duration: 40 minutes
Format: In-class group session via a large screen on Zoom
Timing: The first week of November (During the National Francophone Immigration Week)
Activities:
Discover: The cultural research done by peers who attended the individual session.
Learn: About the rich diversity of Francophone culture within Canada.
Create: A personal cultural presentation by creating a drawing and short-sentence composition.
Reflect : By Completing a self-assessment aligned with Core Competencies.

Through our donations, we:
Support Grade 2 and 3 French Immersion students apply their school language skills to play and explore the world so they can deepen their bond with the French language and culture.
Stand with EFI teachers by providing fully facilitated activities specifically designed for young French learners in English-speaking Canada.
Promote inclusivity and equity by sharing our FSL expertise and values with our local school communities.
Is this donation in accordance with student privacy and educational integrity?
Yes.
Curriculum & Educational Alignment: All our activities and materials are 100% educational, containing zero commercial promotion or product placement.
FOIPPA & Data Privacy Compliance: We do not track, share, or use family data for secondary marketing purposes.
Logistics Confidentiality & Student Protection: Any data received is strictly used for session logistics (such as the preferred parent email address to receive the Zoom link after registering their child for the individual session) and is kept completely confidential. Furthermore, Zoom sessions are never recorded, and no personal student information is collected during the live sessions.
Commercial Solicitation & Anti-Marketing Compliance: Any future communication or contact beyond this donation is strictly "Opt-In" and based entirely on explicit parental request.
To what BC core competencies the activities are connected to?
Is the individual session mandatory for all the students?
While encouraging strong participation, we understand that not all parents will register their child for the after-school activity. To help with this, we will send the teacher 3 ready-to-use invitation emails containing the booking link to forward to parents.
